There are many Bikeathons around the country, which shows the popularity of cycling, particularly with government and Companies trying to encourage more employees to cycle to work.
Having to cycle 26 miles is surprisingly not the hardest part of the event but finding sponsors and collecting the money is. This is also the most important for the charity concerned.
This event is held in aid of Queen Elizabeth's Foundation for disabled people (QEF). QEF trains and supports disabled adults to increase independence from disabilities acquired through illness and accidents.
Many Companies will match their employees individual sponsorship for local events and we will help by organising ‘Just Giving’ on our website to help you raise funds.
Shirts will be provided for the event and you could over print with your company's logos should they agree to match your sponsorship money.
