Mobility courses for professionals

courses for professionals

Tailored courses

Disability awareness
Suitable for businesses and organisations wishing to increase staff awareness of disability issues and to develop confidence in welcoming people with disabilities.

Car adaptation awareness
Staff at car dealerships, servicing depots and motoring organisations will benefit from this course. It offers an overview and understanding of the most common car adaptations and a chance to experience driving with them.

Teaching people with a disability to drive
This three day course enables qualified driving instructors to build on their basic driver training experience. Existing fault analysis skills are enhanced by the provision of in depth understanding of medically based differential causes for driving symptoms.

The course supplies an introduction to rehabilitative driver training for motorists returning to driving after a medical event, and an outline of the role of the Forum of Mobility Centres as supportive resource for this work.

Driving taster afternoons

This course suits youth groups and senior pupils form special schools. Delegates have a chance to try the driving theory test, compete on the static car unit for the fastest reaction and decision times and receive a short introduction to driving presentation before having a go at driving a car under supervision on our safe private roads.
