This course will take you through the four seasons of horticulture and give you a level of skills and knowledge that will help you find and keep a job in this field.

Pre-entry requirements
Basic fitness to do the tasks and manual work will be needed. A College assessment will be undertaken.

City & Guilds 9352 - Level 1 Certificate in Horticulture Skills
NVQ Horticultural - Level 1 or
NVQ Amenity Horticulture (Landscaping) - Level 2 or
NVQ Amenity Horticulture (Sports Turf) - Level 2 or
NVQ Amenity Horticulture (Nursery) - Level 2 or
NVQ Production Horticulture - Level 2
(The college has organic status)

Employment Opportunities:
You could expect to work as a grounds person or amenity worker at a school, local authority, sports complex or similar, or in nursery work or vegetable production at a garden centre or commercial nursery. Our Employment Development Managers will help you to make the right choice.
