Media techniques

Training coursesCourse description
Modules include all aspects of video filming and production, which may, on occasions, cover some challenging and controversial subjects. The course will particularly appeal to those with good manual dexterity and technical competence, who enjoy working with computers and in a team environment.

Pre-entry Requirements:
Experience not essential but a strong interest in media production is an advantage. A reasonable level of Maths and IT skills required, but due to the large script-writing content, a good level of english is essential. A college assessment will be undertaken. (Open learning available to brush up skills). Good colour vision is essential.

Course Content:
Using your IT skills you will learn about fault diagnostics, software installation and support and how to identify and replace defective components.

What skills will I learn?

  • Planning, design & implementation of all aspects of video production.
  • Basic computer graphics

Practical Experience:
You will be able to practise and gain experience of working with a range of video production equipment.
